This is a reproduction of an aluminium band helmet liner was for use with the M35 helmet that was made from 1935 till early 1940. The size is 53 for and will fit the size 60 helmet shell.  The sizing and correponding liner to shell size is the same as for the steel band helmet liners listed above. These liners I have are well known for having the top quality cowhide leather and not the inferior pigskin. It has size markings and maker mark stamps on the outer band. It is very faithfully reproduced and you will surely be happy with the workmanship. This is a reproduction helmet liner leather in a size 53 (for size 60 helmet shell) for liners that fit the regular German WW2 combat helmet, models M35, M40 and M42. It is made from a reworked Czech helmet liner. You need to know exactly what size liner leather you need since each liner leather is for a specific liner size. To install the liner you will have to stretch the leather first and then stretch the leather over the inner liner band. This is better to do when the inner band is not in the liner. If you have to you may need to stretch the leather as you put in each rivet, just install the rivets from opposing sides each time you put in another rivet.
